Epiphany

The kids made this really crazy three kings cake. We were so excited the new Strega Nona book arrived in the mail just in time for celebrating the Epiphany and wrapping up the Christmas festivities. Instead of a fava bean like Strega Nona, we hid a chunk of banana in the cake, and Jimmy got it in his piece so he was "king" for the evening. Unfortunately it was already almost bedtime and the kids had been up VERY late this weekend so his royal choice of playing Monopoly again as a family will be delayed until tomorrow evening. :). The tree is officially down, so mom is happy too- things start to feel really crowded after a while! Happy Epiphany!
