Barbara had often described to me the feasts that take place in the Redwall book series and how she would so LOVE to be at one of those feasts. After getting her the Redwall cookbook, we came up with the idea of making all sorts of things from the cookbook for a birthday feast as her family birthday party at Grandma's. So tonight is the night of the long anticipated FEAST.
She and I will be making "Savory Squirrelbake", "Autum Oat Favorites", "Bellringers Reward" and "Nunnymolers" this afternoon! (Wish us luck!) Grandma and the Aunts are making "October Ale", "BrockHall Badger Carrot cake" "Crispy Cheese & Onion Hogbake", "Veggible Molebake", and "Squirelmums Blackberry Apple Cake", and Aunt Maggie will be making "Stuffed Mushrooms" and "Abbots Special Abby Triffle".
This should be quite the interesting dinner!! I'll have to post photos later tonight!
