Well, half a BIG bottle of maximum strength, real acetone nail polish remover, a toothbrush, some major elbow grease and a few hundred brain cells later, and Barbara's quilt is purple nail polish free (not flawless but you can't really tell) and in the washer!

I didn't have it in me for the sheet- I think I can get a pink twin sheet fairly easily and inexpensively- and the carpet I will leave for another day or get a cute little throw rug since it's right in front of the bed. The carpet is super yucky and we've been hoping to get new carpet for years so maybe someday- and for sure before we could be able to sell the house!

Sammy almost got his nose bit off when he had the nerve to stroll up and ask all cutesy "whatchya doin mommy??" While I was slaving away scrubbing the quilt! :S
